Hyundai Ioniq 5; Models, Specifications, features and price

HYUNDAI IONIQ 5 is the first vehicle built on Hyundai’s new Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). This dedicated battery electric vehicle platform enables faster charging, increased driving range, more interior space, and better handling. The battery pack’s position within the wheelbase ensures ideal weight distribution between the front and rear and a low center of gravity for improved handling performance. In the all-wheel drive version, IONIQ 5 is propelled by two electric motors integrated with the front and rear axles, providing 305 PS (225 kW) and 605 Nm of instant torque. Power : 70 kW Front / 155 kW Rear Torque: 255 Nm Front Nm / 350 Nm Rear Acceleration: 0-100 km/h 5.2 seconds. The Hyundai IONIQ 5 was triple-crowned in 2022 World Car Awards, as World Car of the Year, World Electric Vehicle of the Year, and World Car Design of the Year, changing the world’s view on electric vehicles.
The seats are clad in an eco-processed leather that is dyed and treated with plant oil extractions from flaxseed.

Other soft furnishings throughout the cabin consist of textiles derived from sustainable fibers such as sugar cane bio components, wool and poly yarns, as well as material woven from fibers made from crushed used PET plastic bottles.

Surfaces such as the dashboard, switches, steering wheel and door panels are coated in a polyurethane bio paint composed of oils from rape flowers and corn.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 stands out with its retro-themed styling and the latest in electric vehicle design. It’s also comfortable, practical and generously equipped. While it can’t quite match the range of the equivalent Tesla Model Y or Ford Mustang Mach-E models, there’s still plenty to love about this electric SUV. Other compelling picks for an electric SUV include the new Chevrolet Blazer EV, well-rounded Ford Mustang Mach-E, popular Tesla Model Y and value-oriented Volkswagen ID.4. Kia’s related EV6 is also worth checking out. We cover why the Ioniq 5 is at the top of the class in our Expert Rating below.
